RECOMMENDATIONS ON USE OF HERB CO2-EXTRACTS WHEN MANUFACTURING TOOTH-PASTES
A mechanical cleaning of mouth cavity happens to be insufficient, hence preparations
preventing disorder of exchange processes and extinguishing inflammation, anesthetizing,
removing unpleasant smells, bactericidal, anti-caries, biogenic-stimulating and
others are introduced into tooth-pastes. Natural biologically active substances
of plants have (simultaneously) many of the specified properties. Many of artificially
produced substances have the above listed properties as well but it is reliably
known that maximum biological activity is displayed not by synthetic substances
but by substances being natural compounds with accompanying compositions. It is
important that vegetative systems (CO2-extracts) have several properties at the
same time, and sometimes it is difficult to tell clearly which property prevails.
We recommend CO2-extracts to create a wide range of hygienic and treatment-and-preventing
tooth-pastes with the properties as follows:
- caries-preventing (with CO2-extracts of fir coniferous tabs, medicinal sage);
- improving reclaiming-trophic properties (with CO2-extracts of grape seeds, juniper berries and pepper mint);
- raising anti-inflammatory properties and stimulating metabolism processes (with CO2-extracts of carnation and milfoil);
- biogenic-stimulating (CO2-extract of yeasty residuum of vines, CO2-extract of pomegranate peel and seeds.
When manufacturing tooth-pastes, introduction of is recommended
as follows:
| CO2-extracts |
in per cent to the total mass |
| sage |
0.1 - 0.3% |
| grape seeds |
2.0 - 6.0% |
| juniper berries |
0.1 - 0.5% |
| pepper mint |
0.2 - 0.8% |
| Siberian fir coniferous tab |
0.4 - 0.5% |
| Clove |
up to 0.15% |
yeasty residuum of vines pomegranate marcs (in 1:2 ratio) |
0.1 - 1.0% |
| milfoil |
0.05 - 0.3% |
| Caucasian fir coniferous tab |
0.01 - 3.0% |

CO2-extract of grape seeds is recommended to be added manually after glycerine,
when constant mixing.
CO2-extracts of pepper mint and of juniper berries are recommended to be introduced
in a ready solution of sodium-carboxymethyl cellulose, when constant mixing, before
adding chalk.
CO2-extracts of fir coniferous tab and of sage are recommended to be added in
the kneading machine after pumping there a water-and-glyceric solution, simultaneously
with adding chalk, when constantly working mixer.
