(Extra ctum Eleutherococcifluidum)
A liquid extract to be taken orally.
A liquid varying in color from light-brown to dark-brown. Transparent in shallow layer. Specific odor. Deposit may precipitate upon storage.
Prepared from the rhizome and roots of eleutherococcus - 1,000 g + 40% ethyl alcohol in quantity sufficient to produce I liter extract.
CNS stimulating substance (a tonic).
Stinulates central nervous system, produces tonic, hypertensive, hypoglycemic effect.
Arterial hypotension, asthenic syndrome, physical and mental fatigue.
Individual sensitivity to the components of this product, arterial hypertension (high arterial pressure), hyperexcitability, epilepsy, convulsive conditions, sleep disorders, acute infectious diseases, chjonic liver diseases. Not recommended for women during pregnancy or nursing a baby, for children under 12 years old.
Not recommended to take in the afternoon as it may cause sleep disorders.
Directions and Dosage
Use orally before meals. Adults take 20-30 drops 2-3 times a day. Course of treatment:
20-30 days. To repeat the course, ask a doctor.
Allergic reactions are possible, may cause tachycardia, headache. Sleep disorders and hypoglycemia may be observed.
Possible potentiation of stimulant and analeptical drug (caffeine, camphor, phenamine, etc.) effect. The product is a physiological antagonist of CNS depression drugs (including barbiturates, sedatives, tranquilizers, neuroleptics, etc.).
50- and 100-mI glass bottles.
Store in a dark, cool place.
Store out of reach of children.
Do not use after the date indicated on the package.
